Useful Police Codes
Police codes are a quick and easy way to communicate, if you know how to use them. I've found many lists but they seem over complicated so here's the list we will be using, any additional codes I have not added, please reply with them and the meaning. Please remember though, different states, different countries all use different codes. These may not be area correct to LA but I've done them as best I can.
General Codes:
10-4 - Message Received an Understood (Okay)
10-7 - Out of Service (on a break or busy)
10-8 - In Service (patrolling again or coming on duty)
10-10 - Off Duty
10-15 - Prisoner in Custody
10-19 - Returning to Station
10-20 - Location ("What's your 10-20?")
10-23 - Arrived at Scene
10-24 - Assignment or Scene completed (used after suspect death or arrest)
10-57 - Pursuit in Progress
10-57 Victor - Vehicle Pursuit in Progress
10-57 Fox Trot - Foot Pursuit in Progress
10-99 - Officer Needs Help!
